Ibis Padang

A comfortable hotel with reasonable room rates. I chose to stay in room 809, a Standard Double Room with a Sea View, but I found the room with a mountain view more appealing with the sight of Gunung Singgalang and Gunung Marapi. The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning and hot shower worked well. The bathroom was small but sufficient for me. The Wi-Fi connection was good. The room rate included a breakfast buffet. Enjoying breakfast at the rooftop café, you can choose to have breakfast with a view of the sea or the mountains. There was an adequate selection of food. They offered local breakfast options like lontong, soto, nasi uduk, and various Western choices like bread, waffles, and more. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is also located near the Masjid Raya Sumatera Barat, and you can walk there. Overall, the hotel is good, and I would choose to stay here again when visiting Padang.

The check in process was very fast. The room was spacious and clean. It was great that they provided free toiletries and the shower was good. The breakfast consisted of mainly local dishes but delicious. There was also a 'warung' downstairs that served excellent food. The swimming pool was maintained well. There's a water jug that is provided in the room that you can easily refill using the water dispenser machine at the hallway. I had beautiful views of the sunrise every morning from my room!

Beds and pillows very good. We got a good night's sleep. Nice view on both sides. Quiet on the east side, only a parking lot. Everything worked. Central aircon. Clean. All as it should be for the price.

Breakfast was buffet style , with a great view of the city and surrounds. Room was clean and comfortable.
